No sound when playing my video in DivX Player?

This can happen for a few different reasons.

99% of the time the absence of audio means that you do not have the correct audio codec necessary to playback the audio stream.

If you are getting an error message that you need an Additional Software or Filter, please take a look at our FAQ about Additional Filters needed by DivX Plus Player. Compare that list to the audio codec listed for your file once you've opened it in GSpot or MediaInfo (see links below) and follow the link in the FAQ to download the needed filter.

If you aren't getting any error message, make sure your file includes an audio track in a format that is supported by the DivX Plus Player. To check which audio format you have, use GSpot or MediaInfo to check your audio track's codecs.

It's also possible you need to install FFDShow.
