Hi
I'm getting a run time error for the transcode engine when trying to convert DVD files.

Other threads with similar problems seem to have gone cold.

I'm running Win 7 home on an i7 with 16 gig

Cheers

Are you getting a runtime error in player or converter?

There is a topic about Player runtime errors: http://forums.divx.com/divx/topics/di...

This error can happen for several different reasons. In some cases, updates need to be done to your computer. In others there are known defects. I suspect there might be other reasons this is happening as well, but in order to troubleshoot this we need crash dumps from users, as explained in my post. If you are getting the runtime error in player and you've tried all the suggestions in the post, please comment on that other post so that we can keep the conversation all in one place, and explain a) the steps you've tried and the result and b) the name of your crash dump file that's been uploaded to our FTP server.

If this is happening in Converter, please explain what exactly happens. You mention that you also get a transcode engine. Do the errors happen in succession or alternate? Can you provide a crash dump (basically the same process as for player but you'd need to do it for the DivX Converter process in Task Manager).
