When I open DivX, I get message:" DivX Plus Player has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." How to figure out what kind of problem is it and how to fix it?

For those getting a generic window crash -  Can you please provide a crash dump for the DivX Player for us. Here is how:

1. Next time when the error message appears, do not close it, leaving it on your screen, instead.
2. Launch task manager (e.g. Ctrl+Alt+Del > Start Task Manager).
3. Locate "DivX Player.exe" in the "Processes" tab.
4. Right-click it and select "Create Dump File".
5. After a few seconds, Task Manager will finish writing of dump file, and display the location of the dump file.
6. Send us file "DivXPlayer.DMP" e.g. by uploading it to Dropbox or YouSendIt and sharing the link here.

This will help us to determine what may be going on.
